Paperback and E-book Formatting
Novel — $250.00 for 35 chapters, $2.00 a chapter after that

Novella (under 30,000 words) — $200.00
Nonfiction — We review these projects and provide a quote, which is binding on us. The price will not go up once we’ve provided a quote. (Quote does not include typo corrections or added work not agreed upon initial price quote)
This package includes:
1) a PDF paperback interior in the trim size of your choice, prepared to the specifications of the printer of your choice.
2) an ebook in both epub and mobi formats.
Single Format, Paperback or Ebook
Novel — $125.00 for 35 chapters, $1.00 a chapter after that
Novella — $100.00
Short Story (typically ebook only) — $60.00
Re-Format
$250.00 paperback/ebook package
If you find a large number of typos (that are not format related) within the finished product after it’s been formatted and sent to you and decide that we need to start over with a new manuscript, we will need to charge the same as a formatting price.
Addons
ARC — $30
Typically we do ebook ARCs, and this price is if you have provided us with the final manuscript. If we do not have the final manuscript, the cost of an ARC is $42.50.
Additional typesetting of paperback edition — $1 per 1,000 words
All of our books are typeset, but this option provides extra polish. Here we remove orphan lines from the tops of pages and scene break indicators from the bottoms of pages, to make your book conform to the same standards as a high end, traditionally published hardcover.
Site Specific Ebooks — $5 each
These editions have site specific sales links for your other books. The Nook edition will have Barnes and Noble links, the iBooks edition will have iTunes links, etc.
Color Ebook Chapter Headers — $25
Typically we do the ebook chapter headers in grayscale, but this option includes color.
Rush Fee — $100
This is for projects that require a turnaround of 3 days or less. We’ve done formatting in as little as 24 hours, but we recommend, of course, leaving more time. If you will require a rush job over the weekend or holidays, please notify us in advance.
Typo Corrections and Other Hourly Work — $25.00 per hour
About Us and How to Submit a Job
E.M. Tippetts Book Designs is three mothers who format bestselling books during school hours, nap times, and whenever else our clients need us. You will likely have a team of two people working on your book, one for the ebook and one for the paperback.
We do not require people to book with us in advance unless you will require a rush job over the weekend or the holidays. We are open on weekdays year round. Our only closures are American Thanksgiving day and Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We try to take the weekends off but have been known to work around the clock to get the job done in a timely manner. We follow several busy children around to their various sports and school activities but try to make our clients and their projects a high priority!
To submit a job to us, just visit www.emtippettsbookdesigns.com and fill out the form under “Submit a Job”. Then follow the instructions at the end of the form to send us your manuscript and ebook cover.
We will prepare draft files for your review, and at that point, you can stipulate any changes you need. We will then prepare your final files. The entire process takes approximately one week.
